Nancy O Fund Supports Children’s Performing Arts

Thanks to all who gave to the Nancy O Fund. You will be happy to know that the Fund has contributed to several organizations aimed at helping our children.   We hope that you will continue your ongoing support for these kids in the future through by your contribution to the Nancy O Fund.

Franklin Area Children’s Theatre (FACT)

  • “FACT” is an offspring of the Franklin Opera House in Franklin, NH.  For years now it has provided a positive performing arts experience for children in grades one through eight. It is also an incredible educational experience for the teenage interns who are hired to work for the program.  These teenagers work under the guidance of the Artistic Director, Jule Finley, to learn how to teach children to perform.  They take what they learn, plus their own theater experience and work with groups of children. The result is amazing!  Each camp ends with a public performance on the stage of the Opera House where the campers demonstrate what they have learned.  Musical shows like “The Magic In Me” and “Willy Wonka Junior” are typical each year.  For more information, visit www.franklinoperahouse.org and click on FACT.

  • The Nancy O Award given to qualified graduating seniors at Souhegan High School in Amherst, NH, who have worked with children in performing arts.

  • The One-Act Playwriting Festival of the Riverbend School of Theater Arts, part of the Boys and Girls Club, of Souhegan Valley, where young people write, produce, and direct their own plays and musicals, performed by kids.  Visit www.svbgc.org for more information.

  • Zebra Crossings Camp Spinnaker, an overnight camp for children ages 8-12 with asthma. The camp is designed to give self-confidence and help the kids learn how to manage their own asthma.  Visit www.zebra-crossings.org and search for Camp Spinnaker to learn more about this great organization.
